PV Sindhu made herself a spot in the Korea Open Superseries Badminton Finals as she beat Hi Bingjiao of China 21-10, 17-21, 21-16 in the semi-final that took place. The final tournament will be held in Seoul and we are all excited for the ‘silver princess’ hoping and praying that she would make it to the gold this time!

Sindhu started off with a strong game by scoring 4 points against Bingjiao’s single point. With a score of 4-1 in the nascent phase of the game, she had every Indian’s hopes raised high. The lead worked well for Sindhu as Bingjiao lost momentum and the scoreboard reflected a 11-4 lead for our player by break time.
In the second game, Bingjiao made a comeback with a lead of 3-0 in the beginning only to be beaten by Sindhu with a score of 11-6 at break. In the next match Binjiao caught pace again and managed to take the win the game with a score of 21-17.
The last game had everyone on the edge of their seats as the two players battled shoulder to shoulder. It was exciting match to watch as both the players gave their best making it tough to predict the winner. Alas, Sindhu won the semi-finals with a score of 21-16. The Indian shutter gloriously qualified for the finals against Nozomi Okuhara of Japan which shall be held on Sunday.
