Punjabi Tadka: Traditional Pakoda Kadhi

Punjabi is a state which is very fond of eating and food. Now you can make the tasty traditional Punjabi food at home. So start by making this traditional pakoda kadhi. This curry is easy to make and extremely tasty to eat. Here is the secret recipe to make this traditional kadhi.

Half kg yoghurt
200 gms gram flour (for kadhi)
Salt to taste
2 litres of water
One and a half tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp fennel
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
Little curry, pinch of asafoetida
5 whole red chillies
Oil to fry
250 gms of gram flour (for pakodas)
2 onions, 4 green chillies and green coriander (all three finely chopped)

Make a batter of curd, gram flour, salt and turmeric powder in a bowl, boil on low flame for 20-25 minutes. Heat oil in a small pan and toss the mustard seeds, curry leaves, fennel and dry red chillies. Put this mixture into the curry. Now to make pakoda, mix gram flour, onion, green chillies, green coriander, a little red chilli powder and salt and make it in shape of a ball. Heat the oil in the pan and fold the dough slowly. Put this pakoda into kadhi and cook for 15 minutes. Heat oil in another pan and mix cumin seeds, asafoetida and red chilli powder. Serve it with green coriander.
