Popular Street Food: Chole Bhature

Who doesn’t love street food? Everyone does, right? Now you can make your favourite Chole Bhature at home! It is a popular street food of North India. Here is the recipe for the delicious street food which will be loved by all.

150 grams chickpea gram
2 Tomato Paste
2 onions finely cut
1 tsp garlic paste
1-1 tsp poppy seeds and muskmelon seeds (soaked in water)
1 tablespoon curd
2 Bay Leaves
4 tbsp oil
Half teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Chana masala
Green coriander
Little curd
Salt to taste

For bhatura:

100 gm flour
1 tsp curd
Oil to fry
Salt to taste

First, grind poppy seeds and muskmelon seeds. Soak the gram overnight and boil it the next day. Grate the onions and tomatoes separately. Heat the oil in the pan and add a teaspoon of cumin seeds. When cumin seeds begin to crack, add garlic and onions. Once the onions are light brown, add poppy seeds and turmeric paste and fry it. After this, add tomato paste and curd. Once the tomato becomes soft, add boiled gram, gram masala, garam masala and salt. Add 2 cups hot water and cook it. Serve warmly with green coriander.
To make Bhatura, add water to the dough and knead it. Make it in the shape of the bhatura and fry it in oil. Your delicious Chole Bhature is ready.
