In India too, rose water has featured in every feminine beauty regime to impart shine and moisture to the skin, since time immemorial. Here’s how you can use the rose in a variety of ways.

If you once use this desi rose water toner on your face, you wouldn’t want to use any cosmetic rose toner again. Simply buy some roses (desi gulab) and put it inside a small water spray bottle. Refrigerate it. After a few days, take it out for use. You can add drops of glycerin and lemon. Your DIY rose water toner is ready.

Almost every beauty product contains artificial fragrances, which can be harmful indeed for your skin. Commercial scented body oils are loaded with artificial fragrances. If you want to make your own sweet rose scented boy oil, here’s how: Take a small mason jar and put crushed rose petals in it (fresh ones) and then pour over your favourite body oil- almond, sesame, or coconut. Then let this sit for few days until the oil soaks all the fragrance of the rose petals. It is up to you if you want to strain the mixture. Your fragrant body oil is ready to use.
