An upcoming thriller film written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, Te3n has a strong star cast, with Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan in lead roles. The film, which was supposed to release along with Aishwarya Rai’s Sarbjit, was postponed to a later date to avoid the clash. Te3n revolves around the kidnapping of Angela, a girl whose death affects the lives of two men—her grandfather and an ex-cop-turned priest.
NW predict-o-meter: We love thrillers, and we expect the audience to like it too, also because it is produced by Sujoy Ghosh the man who impressed us with his Kahaani. And then there’s Vidya Balan.

With an impressive trailer, Udta Punjab has caught everybody’s attention. The story revolves around four main characters Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor), Dr Preet Sahani (Kareena Kapoor), Kumari Pinky (Alia Bhatt) and Sartaj Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) and how they are entangled in the prevalent drug-abuse situations in Punjab.
NW predict-o-meter: This is a much-anticipated movie, especially for it power-packed star cast. Hopefully, they will deliver with their performances, too. And oh, we have not forgotten that ex-flames Kareena and Shahid come together in the movie for the first time since they both settled into their married lives. That being said, we feel that it may be all the hype around it that tides this movie at the box office initially; we don’t think it to do much after that. We could be wrong, of course!
INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE
Release date: June 24
Independence Day: Resurgence is a sequel to the 1996 science, the super-hit fiction-disaster film Independence Day. Some of the star cast that reprise their roles from the original film includes Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A Fox and Brent Spiner. Other cast members in the new movie include Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward, Angelababy, Charlotte Gainsbourg and William Fichtner.
NW predict-o-meter: If it is made anything like the earlier hit, Independence Day: Resurgence is going to be a hands-down hit too. But we sure hope they have countered for the fact that post Independence Day, there have been many an ‘Earth saviour’ movie with at least as great special effects. Then again, we are sure to miss the Will- Smith charm, which some of us believe, was what took that movie as far.
