Mithali Raj Shares Photo On Twitter And Gets Shamed For Her Clothes

Indian Women’s Cricket team got huge acceptance nationally as well as internationally specially after the World Cup. Captain Mithali Raj is among the one who is receiving a lot of limelight as she is being called to be a part of lot of events lately. She is the first woman cricketer to score seven consecutive half-centuries in One-day Internationals (ODIs) during the World Cup. She also surpassed former England captain Charlotte Edwards and became the all-time highest run scorer in ODIs and registered the record of most number of fifties in ODIs.

Recently Mithali uploaded a throwback picture on Twitter and that was enough for the Indian society to start their moral policing mode on. She was apparently wearing a black spaghetti and suddenly all her achievements were not enough to give her the freedom to wear whatever she wishes to. Many twitteratis started slamming her for her clothes and advised her that people of her stature are not supposed to wear such clothes.

However, there were equal supporters of our ace-captain who gave a fitting reply to all the haters out there. But shaming is a real problem and these so-called flag bearers of Indian culture should change their mentality. People should not be judged and everybody needs to take a firm stand against it. All we need to say to people shaming  Mithali Raj is to #StopTheShame.
