Lunch Special: Marble Paneer Curry

Marble paneer is a great lunch dish that can be eaten either with roti, naan or rice. A perfect option for vegetarians, it will also be mouthwatering for non-vegetarians! Here is the recipe.

For Marble Paneer:

  • 250 gm paneer
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli, ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tsp amchoor powder
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Little lemon juice

For Gravy:

  • 1/2 cup curd
  • Puree of 4 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • A pinch of orange or red food colouring
  • 2 tbsp cashew powder
  • 2 tbsp of mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • 2 tbsp green chilli, ginger and garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • Salt to taste

Other necessary ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 curry leaves
  • 2 cups fresh cream
  • Some chopped coriander

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the marble paneer together and create balls out of them.
  2. Fry in a little oil until it turns brown.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan and add the curry leaves and the gravy ingredients. Cook until it thickens.
  4. Add the paneer marbles to it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with some fresh cream and green coriander.
