Home Remedies For Dark Arms
Coconut Oil: – Massage the dark underarms with coconut oil. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water. Repeat this step two or three times daily until you achieve the desired results.
Chickpea Flour/Besan Mask: – Mix 3 tablespoon gram flour, 1 tbsp yoghurt, 1 tsp lemon juice and a small pinch of turmeric. Mix them well to get a smooth paste. Apply this paste to your underarms. Leave it there for half an hour. Wash it off with water.
Sandalwood : – Mix two tablespoons of sandalwood powder and sufficient rosewater to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on your underarms. Leave it on for about 15 minutes or until it dries, and then wash it off with cold water. When repeated daily, this remedy will lighten the skin tone of your underarms within a few days.
Cucumbers:– 1. Mix little lime juice with cucumber juice and add a pinch of turmeric to it. Apply this paste on the affected area. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with water. 2. You can also cut thinner slices of cucumber and rub it on your armpits. 3. You can also grate the juice of cucumber and apply it on your affected area with cotton. Keep it for some 10-15 minutes and wash it off with water.
Baking Soda: – Take some baking soda and water. Mix them to make a thick paste. Apply them to your underarms and gently scrub the area. Wash off and pat dry the skin. Apply some lotion or talc if you feel irritation after doing this.
Potatoes: – Take a thin slice of potato and rub your underarms with it for about 5-10 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. You can also grate the juice of potato and apply it on your armpits and keep it there for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with water.
Milk: MiX 2 tbsp of milk with one tbsp of curd and 1 tbsp of flour to make a paste. Apply to your underarms and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then wash it off with cold water.
Saffron: – Soak at 2-3 strands of saffron in two teaspoons of milk for 15 to 20 minutes. Add a little honey to it and Apply the mixture on your underarms and leave it on for at least 20 to 30 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
Orange Peel: Dry the orange peel in the sun and grind the peel to get its powder. Add 2 tsp of powdered orange peel to some rose water and milk and mix well to get a thick paste. Apply this paste to your underarms and gently scrub the area gently for about 10 minutes. Wash it off with cold water to remove the dead skin and cells.
Lemon : Take a thick slice of lemon and rub your underarms daily before you go to have a bath. Apply some lotion or moisturiser on the skin to prevent it from drying. You can also add a pinch of turmeric, some honey or some yoghurt to lemon juice to make a paste. Apply this to your dark underarms and leave for about 10 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
