The film has the never-seen before lead, pairing Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, who play a couple. The plot revolves around Kabir (Arjun) and Kia (Kareena), a married couple who choose to have a role-reversal. While Kia, a successful and career oriented woman, is the bread-winner in the family, Kabir, a well-educated man without too many ambitions in life, chooses to become her stay-at-home husband. The movie, directed by R Balki, has Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in cameo roles.
NW predict-o-meter: It would be interesting to see the concept of role-reversals, though we pray the makers haven’t gotten carried away with the concept. That being said, for all of those who can’t stop talking about women empowerment, what better than having a man play a ‘wife’ in a relationship? But what we are looking forward to is seeing Kareena and Arjun as a couple, now that the stories of their chemistry and lip-locks are already making news.

It may be a Shah Rukh Khan–Yashraj movie, but Fan is a thriller, with a plot that’s a twist from the duo’s usual fare. Fan is the story of an actor and his fan, where both the characters are played by SRK. The story revolves around the fan Gaurav whose admiration for the megastar Aryan Khanna soon turns into an obsession. The rest of the story is about how the two men discover the other sides of each of their personalities.
NW predict-o-meter: Shah Rukh Khan fans are in for a duel blessing, for they get to see the big man in two roles. Considering the novelty of the theme, we feel the movie is hanging by the hinges.

This is the second Bollywood outing for Tiger Shroff, after his celebrated debut in Heropanti (2014). Like his previous venture, this one, too, is an action-packed romantic drama. Baaghi is a typical Bollywood martial-arts movie, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger. The plot revolves around the love story and hardships of rebels Sia (Shraddha) and Ronny (Tiger).
NW predict-o-meter: As much as this is not our cuppa tea, we are quite sure there are takers for martial art action-dramas with a lot of over-the-top and formulaic dialogues, too. But considering it’s the young Tiger giving it to them, and because it worked in his favour earlier, we’re sure his fans might just welcome Baaghi with open hands.
