2019 is here and that means its time to make and stick to some new yet old resolutions. They might be repetitive but you need to know these. Keeping resolutions is ultimately the best way to keep a check on your body, mind, health and other factors in your life in harmony. You probably didn’t quite keep all those 2018 New Year resolutions, but nonetheless, here are some more important commitments you should definitely be holding onto in the new year.

Save Water
Save water has to be the most important resolution you can follow this new year. You will not leave the tap on while brushing or washing your face. Use as little water as possible while bathing and showering.
Save Power
You will cut down on your electricity consumption. Switch to CFL bulbs and lower the use of geysers as much as you can. Shut the TV, radio, laptop, and other electronic gadgets when not in use. You will charge your phone by putting it on the airplane mode (saves battery and power) and save electricity.
Social Media Detox
You will cut back 1 hour of social media time every day. You will switch off your phone and pick a book or another hobby instead. Stop using your gadgets 2hours before bed and turn your phone on silent while you sleep.

Workout
You will work out regularly, even if it means walking to work instead of taking the bus. Use the stairs instead of the elevator at least 3 times a week. Jogging, walking, cycling, yoga, zumba and other activities are equal to workouts and exercise.
Reuse and Recycle
You will reuse and recycle all your trash every day regularly. You will make sure you create less pollution and spread the message of recycling among your friends and family.
Reading
You will at least read 5 novels in the entire year. 3 Fictional novels and 2 non-fictional based on either art, culture, history or language. Join a book club.
Investment
You will start saving money more. Invent in savings accounts, shares, bonds, trade accounts and other financial instruments as a means of investment. You will cut down on your unnecessary expenses and avoid impulsive buying. Use a budget tracker app to keep a check on your finances.
Hobbies And Activities
You will take one hobby or activity that you like wholeheartedly. It could be anything from swimming, running, walking, dancing, yoga, joining a book club, learn to play a musical instrument, or gardening. You will be passionate about it and hold onto a target to achieve before 2019 ends.
