Give a sexy twist to your run-of-the-mill hairstyle. The fishtail braid is perfect for summer. Here’s how you can get it right!
Step 1: Divide your hair into two equal sections (coloured red and yellow for reference)
Step 2: Pull out a strand of hair from the yellow section (coloured blue) to have 3 sections of hair.

Step 3: Pull the blue section over the yellow one and join it with the red section. A normal braid would have 3 sections but normal is so boring!
Step 4: Pull out a strand of hair from the red section (coloured green for reference) and pull it over the red-blue section to add it to the yellow section. You’ll end up having two sections again.
Step 5: Keep doing the first 4 steps repeatedly until your reach the end of your hair.
Step 6: Fasten the end of your braid with a small rubber band or hair tie.
Step 7: For added volume, slowly fan out the braid without pulling any strands out of place.
You’re done! Now that you’ve mastered the fishtail braid, you could get creative and make several styles out of it!
If you’re too lazy to finish the braid, you could braid it until the top of your neck and secure it!
