With B-town’s favourite couple DeepVeer tying the knot in Italy first in a Konkani ceremony yesterday, followed by an Anand Karaj today, fans have been going berserk. However, owing to their ‘Strictly Private’ policy for their wedding (where even guests were requested to not put up pictures of the celebrations on their social media handles) fans of the couple had not been treated to images of the married couple, except for a few paparazzi shots. In fact, the security arrangements were so tight that they could be compared with the best of world leaders. All guests had to present a special wristband while security guards were said to have covered up the camera lenses on mobile phones with stickers. The e-invite also came with a QR code to be scanned at the entry. On the lake itself, there were numerous security boats patrolling to deter snooping photographers.
But the big moment is finally here. The charming couple shared the first picture of their marriage online sending fans into a tizzy. As expected, the duo looks gorgeous, both dressed in Sabyasachi outfits.
Ranveer and Deepika share a beautiful moment as he whispers sweet nothings and she listens intently.
The couple is seen smiling from cheek to cheek as they promise to be together forever!
Earlier in the day, we got a glimpse into the gifts and sweets that the newly-married couple has been sending out to friends and family.
We also got a glimpse into the exclusive gift that Farah Khan (who introduced Padukone to Bollywood) gifted the couple just ahead of their wedding-a life impression of their hands, created by premier life cast artist Bhavna Jasra.
Ever since the much-adored couple broke the news of their marriage via Instagram posts, almost everyone had been busy speculating on the venue, the menu, the cutlery, and of course, the designers the two would choose to wear on their Big-Day. In the meantime, Deepika Padukone’s stylist Shaleen Nathani shared images of the Padukone family performing the Nandi Puja in Bangalore, and of course, we went gaga over how resplendent Deepika looked in an orange Sabysachi salwar kameez. We also caught a glimpse of Ranveer Singh’s Haldi ceremony at his Bandra house. Remember?
Meanwhile, the couple also visited all their near and dear ones including Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, before leaving for Italian shores in colour-coordinated outfits, posing merrily for the photographers, with Ranveer being the usual goofball.
We wish this couple a wonderful journey ahead, while we wait for more pictures to emerge, so we can feast our fasting eyes.
