The 7 Health & Fitness Goals You Need To Master This Year

1. Schedule Your Workouts: Workouts should always be the first thing to do in the morning. Schedule your workouts for the week onto your Google Calendar each Sunday. Making a schedule for yourself makes it that much easier to stick to your plan and not miss any workouts.

2. Stop doing the workouts you hate: Stop doing the workouts that you think you should be doing and find something that you look forward to and want to do regularly. For e.g. running marathons are now in vogue. But running isn’t easy and you really need to love it if you want to run marathons and half marathons. Running for hours and hours might not be for you and that’s okay. Not everyone needs to be a runner. Try to find out what excites you as a workout and stick to that.

3. Eat clean: We’re not saying to completely eliminate your diet; we understand that everybody needs a treat from time to time. However, trying just a little bit harder to eat more fruits, vegetables and lean meats instead of processed foods can make a huge difference!

4. Find a resolution buddy: It always helps to have a partner to motivate you. If you feel like you’re slipping on a goal, your resolution buddy can help get you back on track and vice versa. So whether it’s fitness, health or just life goals, you’ll have someone there to push you along the way.

5. Get fresh air: Whether you’re outside exercising, or just relaxing with friends at a park, fresh air is not only good for the body, but also for the soul. Try taking your lunch outside. or grabbing a brisk walk mid morning or mid day. Ditch the living room, and rejuvenate outdoors.

6. Don’t give up: This one is a bit of a resolution within a goal. Don’t give up on any specific resolution, or on keeping resolutions in general. If you miss a day at the gym, you didn’t blow it completely, just get back on track the next day. Quitting is not an option.

Remember, these are just a small handful of ideas to get you started! Successful New Year’s goal setting vary from person to person and it’s important to pick a one that fits you and your needs, not someone else’s.
