  • Cat-Cow Stretch

This pose helps release stress from your back, torso, and shoulders all at once. Resting on your arms and legs, stretch like a cat in a downwards motion first before stretching upwards in the cow position. Coordinate your breathing with every stretch and you’ll slowly slip into a relaxed state of mind.

  • Child’s Pose

A simple yoga is the child’s pose. All you need to do is rest on your calves and legs and bend forwards. Hold this position for 2 minutes and sit straight. Repeat this at least 15 times till you feel the stretching helping you relax. You can also stretch out your hands ahead of you when you bend.

  • Reclining Frog Pose

Lie flat on your back placing your hands on your stomach and join the soles of your feet inwards as much as you can. Place a pillow under your thighs for support. Focus on your breathing and the hands rising and falling on your belly.

  • Legs Up The Wall

Looks simple enough? Rest your waist as close as possible to the wall. Your butt should touch the wall thus resting your legs up in the air with support on the wall. Try to hold this position for 5 minutes. Repeat this with breaks till you start feeling less stressed. It reduces fatigue and relieves stress.

  • Supported Reclining Twist

As you lie flat on your back, bend both your legs at a 90-degree angle to your right. While your knees are stacked to one side, twist your face to the other side. Let your arms rest at shoulder level loosely. This twisting pose will help reduce stress in the lower back region and give a good night’s rest.

  • Corpse Pose

One of the easiest poses ever has to be the corpse pose. Just like its name, all you need to do is lie down like a corpse i.e. sleep on your back and loosen your body. Focus on your breathing and hands and legs. This will help you relax quickly and is a base step towards sleeping.
