We become so by that following the rule set by the society that we often lose the track of our own happiness. Ranbir Kapoor’s character is clueless like most of us in college and has no interest in the career that is forced by his parents on him. Whereas Ayesha Banerjee is an independent girl who leaves her comfortable home and comes to Mumbai- the City of Dreams to make it big as a journalist. The film is about finding directions and something that pushes us to do things more passionately. Wake Up Sid urges us to correct our decisions, realize our underfed talents and live life according to our own liking.

Termed as Sridevi’s comeback film, this movie made us realise how much we missed a talented and powerful actress like her. English Vinglish definitely deserves a watch not just for her performance but also for her strong character Sashi. The uber-talented actress portrayed the character of a middle-class housewife and touched everyone’s hearts with her magical performance. This one’s a woman-centric flick that is so beautiful and teaches us about how to deal with life problems with self-confidence!
It was one of the best films that depicted the true forms of depression with making it dramatic. It takes an unflinching look at what the youth goes through problems even though everything is correct in life. The credit goes to some very fine writing by Gauri Shinde as well as probably Alia’s most effortless performance as she breezes through the film as Kaira. Shah Rukh Khan as the psychologist Jehangir Khan, was really charming and mouths some lovely, inspirational dialogues. Dear Zindagi makes an attempt to break the stereotype and false notion that talking about mental health is taboo.
